On May 20–21 EvFree hosted Biola on the Road (an apologetics conference put on by Biola University). The Commons was filled with people from all ages eagerly listening to professors and experts share their knowledge about Jesus and the logic behind our belief. Many of these people were Love Europe participants being trained and equipped before they are sent to places that constantly look for ways to dismantle Christianity. It was an honor to sit in this room surrounded by people who love Jesus and want to share His Gospel well, while listening to incredible speakers share their expertise. There was a variety of topics covered at this event: evidences for the resurrection (Sean McDowell), the way Christianity holds up against different religions (Craig Hazen), the problem of evil (Clay Jones) and the case for the soul (J.P. Moreland). You could not write your notes quick enough to capture all of the wisdom that was shared!
The things that struck me and stuck with me were the practical tools offered by Tim and Jason Muelhoff about ways to share your faith with gentleness and respect. How to listen well, establish relationship and share without judgment. I was so moved by the importance of leading with love and following the way the Holy Spirit is calling us to share.
God was truly present at this event and His Spirit was speaking through these people to fill us with confidence in the evidences of our faith and the ability to share it gracefully. I am excited to hear about the way God uses the fruit of this event in Fullerton and across the globe throughout Europe!
